Au Revoir, French Doors

Here, the previous French doors that were held up by little more than... well... I don't know what they were held up by other than the will of God.

To the right, some of the rotting wood that we uncovered. Of course, the people who originally built this didn't use treated wood. I mean, why would they? Right? Right? God help us...

The new French doors installed by Inmer and his helper. As it turns out, the eave/header was dipping in the middle a full inch. They had to jack up the middle of the header to make it level.

Let's just say this: You don't know stress until someone starts jacking up part of your roof. Still, no scary squeaks or nasty sounds. If anything, it's probably level for the first time in decades.

Anyhoo, that's it for now. More later. Lots more.
